The day that the president of Peru decided to close the borders and quarantine the country due to COVID cases, was the day I arrived to Quillabamba to start a new job as a radio reporter and photojournalist on a local radio station. Since March 15th, I photographed the transformation of this city located in the Amazon province of La Convencion in Cusco: from the constant demands of people who asked for help from a State that rarely appears to the joint work of all to obtain a plant of oxygen that could save lives. In this serie, there isn't photos of deceased or collapsed hospitals thanks to the fact that we didn't reach that situation, but the adaptation of a small city of just over 30 thousand inhabitants to this new normal. Work in progress
